Why was Development stopped?

Postby FC360 » Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:00 pm

Hi

I love this software, it has allowed me to backup most of my DVD films and burn them onto a DVD so I don't scratch the original. I noticed that the creator stopped developing the software in 2003 and was wondering if anyone knows why?

It's a great piece of software and does what it's meant to, I'm just curious as to why it is no longer developed.

Apparently because he felt that the tool can do anything it's supposed to and he was interested in doing some other stuff rather than adapting this one to latest copy protections. I'm afraid that's all you get, dvdshrink himself was never very vocal about anything and getting in touch with him is almost impossible.
